To commemorate the 8th founding anniversary of their group worship service (GWS), brethren from Stavanger, Norway GWS, Ecclesiastical District of Northern Europe conducted a get-together at a picnic site in Kvernevik, Hafrsfjord, Stavanger, Norway on July 31, 2021.
As the Buklod and KADIWA members busied themselves preparing the meals they brought for the occasion, Binhi members watched over the members of the Children’s Worship Service (CWS) as they went around to see the natural attractions in the picnic site.
“It was great that all the brethren in our GWS where there talking and having fun with each other and … all of them were so happy [to] have that kind of activity,” Brother Rodel Mallare, resident minister, said.
With only minimal restrictions implemented in the country, the brethren were able to conduct the get-together as outdoor activities are already allowed.
Other than the delicious dishes they all shared, brethren enjoyed playing family-friendly games prepared for the said occasion. Prizes were given to the winners. Another part of the activity featured some of the brethren sharing wholesome jokes that brought fun and laughter to the attendees.
“We would like to thank our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, for allowing us to hold [the] activity. In spite of this pandemic, we were able to prove that we still remain active in participating in the different works and activities of the Church and at the same time we were able to celebrate the 8th year anniversary of Stavanger Group Worship Service,” Brother Mallare added.
The Stavanger GWS was established on July 27, 2013. — With reports from INC News Section
