To provide additional inspiration to the brethren in their services and worship of the Lord God during these tough times, the Ecclesiastical District of Tokyo, Japan’s leadership spearheaded an online activity featuring stories of faith of selected members from the district.
This was held on September 5, 2021 in commemoration of the district’s 11th founding anniversary.
Prior to the event, through the leadership of Brother Manny Benedicto, district supervising minister, Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers in the district compiled stories of brethren from various local congregations in which their experiences, such as trials in life, only strengthened their faith.
The congregations’ multimedia teams then made these stories into short video documentaries, which were the ones shown during the event.
The activity was held online not only to reach a wider audience—including prospective Bible students—but to also observe government rules on gatherings as Tokyo and its suburbs are still in a state of emergency. As such, the brethren were still able to commemorate the anniversary of their district.
Interviewed brethren said they were not only delighted by the films but they were encouraged to stay hopeful and optimistic especially during these challenging times as they were also reminded of how the Lord God has helped their district through the years. — With reports from INC News Section
