December 13, 2020 saw the conclusion of the elimination round of the photo-essay held throughout the Ecclesiastical District of Taiwan.
The entries were exhibited at the function hall of the place of worship of the Local Congregation of Chungli City.
The contest provided a platform for the brethren, especially the local congregations’ designated Church chroniclers, to showcase their skills in photography, as well as mounting exhibits to tell a story.
Revolving around this year’s theme for Church activities that states “Put all your hope in the grace that will be yours,” the photo-essays captured stories and highlights of the district’s activities in the midst of the pandemic crisis.
Contest coordinator, Brother Alex Carmesis, the assistant district secretary, explained that the entries were judged based on relevance to the theme, creativity, visual impact, and overall storytelling of its historical significance.
The two winners who will be chosen will represent the district for the “Chronicling the INC in 2020: A Photo Essay Competition” launched by the INC Research and Information Section.
The participants expressed their gratitude to the Church Administration for launching activities such as this that enable them to foster their skills and talents not just for self-development but most importantly for the glory of God. — With reports from INC News Section
