The Society of Communicators and Networkers, International (SCAN) members in the Ecclesiastical District of Taiwan, in cooperation with Taiwan Red Cross in Taipei City, Taiwan, conducted an emergency first response training seminar on September 27, 2020.

The brethren from various local congregations participated in the eight-hour training course. With lectures and hands-on experience combined, participants learned first aid know-how, properly caring for injuries and wounds, and real-life saving scenarios. They also learned the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) steps and the use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED) equipment.

Reymel Bayoneto, SCAN officer from the Local Congregation of Longtan, said, “This is the first time I experienced a formal rescue training seminar. I am thankful because I have learned so much about safety procedures. This is a big help in case of an emergency to immediately help people in such situations.”

Engelrey Abalos, SCAN district president, said, “I am very thankful to the Church Administration for launching such activity. In this time of world crisis, more knowledge in safety protocols and the like are needed by the brethren.”

The brethren were uplifted and promised to continue participate in all Church activities. ― With reports from INC News Section
