
With God’s help, Church members from the Ecclesiastical District of Tandag City, Surigao del Sur reaped the fruits of their labors in recent months in the intensified propagation of the faith during the baptism of new converts held on September 17, 2021.
Having completed the requirement for receiving baptism into the true Church Of Christ, the would-be members were gathered at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Tandag City to first received further instruction in Bible teachings.
The assistant district supervising minister, Brother Rodrigo Tindoy officiated at the gathering. During the study of God’s words, he encouraged the candidates for baptism to uphold their membership the Church Of Christ that they were about to receive in order to be saved on Judgment Day. This they solemnly swore to fulfill by obeying all their lives the holy teachings they received.
“I am thankful to God for giving me the chance to be baptized in the Church Of Christ. This blessing is what I will also share to my loved ones and friends by inviting them to worship services and evangelical missions,” said Maribel Montenegro, one of the newly baptized brethren and now registered in the Tandag City Congregation.
“We are greatly happy because despite the pandemic more people are being baptized in the Church,” Brother Remark Lita, a ministerial worker, shared. “We will continue to help in the intensive work of propagation for the glory of our Almighty God.”
Located in the Caraga region in Mindanao, Philippines, Surigao del Sur is a coastal province facing the Pacific Ocean. During the said gathering, it is placed under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) thus health protocols were strictly followed. — With reports from INC News Section
