The choir representing the Local Congregation of Tangub emerged champion in the Himig ng Kaligtasan (Songs of Salvation)–Buklod Edition, district level.

The musical tilt held on June 12, 2022 at the gymnasium of Bacolod City National High School saw choral groups from all local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, in the Philippines, compete with each other.

“Despite their busy schedule, we devoted time to practice every night,” Emman Solivio, Buklod vice president in the Tangub Congregation, said, of the members of the winning team. “Even though our time of preparation was short, we manage to win through God’s help. We offer all the glory to Him.”

“This activity boosted our zeal in serving God. We are joyful for our congregation’s win, above all, for the brethren’s unity seeing the result of their labors made them more active in the Church,” Brother Cirmilo Geron, resident minister of the Tangub Local Congregation, said.

Brother Filjohn Lozada, the ministerial worker who acted as adviser to the district’s music team, disclosed that all the participants were joyful for the chance not only to express their musical talents but even more to be able to “respond to the call of the Church Administration and all the more unite in Church activities.” — With reports from INC News Section
