KADIWA members from the Local Congregation of Temecula Valley, Ecclesiastical District of Southeast California got a lot of essential tips on staying healthy in mind and body amid the pandemic crisis from a health seminar held online on January 18, 2021.
The congregation’s KADIWA Sports Committee officers spearheaded the seminar, serving as organizers and resource persons. They gave the participants helpful pointers on proper and appropriate exercises and maintaining positive thinking.
The officers also encouraged the attendees to join in workout sessions on scheduled dates as part of the Sports Committee’s health and fitness projects.
Hanz Patrick Molina taught the participants on how to read Nutrition Facts labels and the terminologies involved. Considering such facts, he said, can help a great deal in achieving a healthy lifestyle.
“I honestly don’t really know much about nutrition and reading the [nutrition] labels, so that helped a lot for me,” KADIWA member Shaira Carlos said.
Alexander Morte, said, “It’s very informational. It served as a reminder to get back and do it [exercise], especially since quarantine has made a negative impact on physical and mental health.” — With reports from INC News Section
