Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Local Congregation of Templo Central, Ecclesiastical District of Central worked hand in hand to make the outreach-evangelical mission they conducted on September 25, 2022 a success.

Held in selected rooms of the New Era High School at 1128 Tandang Sora Ave., New Era, Quezon City, Philippines, the two-pronged activity was supervised by Brother Jason Ferma, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer, and Brother Agapito Galapon, Jr., the congregation’s resident minister.

During the Lingap sa Mamamayan (Care for Humanity) part of the undertaking, members of the Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) provided free medical check-up and medicines to the recipients.

The Society of Communicators and Networkers International (SCAN) members, on the other hand, not only maintained peace and order but also helped in the distribution of the thousand relief packages later in the day.

Grateful, Diwata Hugo, a guest, enthused, “Having an illness, and being in old age require check-up and medication, both of which this timely event catered for.”

After the outreach part, other Church officers of the congregation ushered the guest-recipients, accompanied by the brethren who invited them, into the covered court of the adjacent New Era Elementary School. There, some talented brethren showcased dance performances, while others sang Iglesia Ni Cristo original music.

Capping the day’s events, Brother Christian Libunao, minister of the gospel, officiated at the evangelical mission, emphasizing how essential it is, according to the Bible, to prioritize obedience to God’s will over desire for material things. He pointed out God’s promise that He will magnanimously bless those who serve Him faithfully inside the true Church Of Christ.

“We all are aware that living and situations around us, nowadays, are getting worse. One example of these is the rising price of basic commodities,” said Brother Libunao in an interview. “That is why, as led and continuously exhorted by Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the Executive Minister, through these socio-civic activities, in our own little way, we manifest the love of fellowmen, thus, helping those in need.”

Doctrinal instructee Honey Joy Tana, who brought along her whole family, expressed, “Thank you, brethren, for lending a helping hand to us.” — With reports from INC News Section
