As one saying puts it, “No one is born a great cook, one learns by doing.”

With this in mind, KADIWA members from the Ecclesiastical District of Thailand learned to cook in an online basic cooking workshop on May 16, 2020.

KADIWA (Kabataang May Diwang Wagas or youth with noble intent) is a Christian Family Organization (CFO) within the Church Of Christ that caters to members who are still single, 18 years and older.

Gianet Flores, a district KADIWA officer from Chonburi, demonstrated how to cook various dishes such as egg-drop soup with vegetables, crispy kare-kare, and chicken and pork barbecue.

The activity aimed to help the brethren, some of whom are young adults working away from home, learn to prepare their own meals, saving more cash than always buying cooked meals or meals in fastfood restaurants.

A part of the activity was a cooking-related guessing game which the brethren enjoyed. The KADIWA members were grateful for the additional knowledge and motivation for cooking. Brother Marco Arnel Tumanan, district CFO overseer, gave an inspirational message at the end of the activity. He advised them to hold fast their calling as members of the Church Of Christ and put their trust in God by devoutly serving Him so that all will be well with them. ― With reports from INC News Section
