Church Of Christ members from the Local Congregation of Port Moresby and the Group Worship Service (GWS) of Mount Hagen in Papua New Guinea, in the Australia West Ecclesiastical District, reap a bountiful harvest for their intensified efforts in propagating God’s words. More people were added to the Church as a series of baptisms was held recently.

On February 21, 2021, prospective members gathered at the Mount Hagen GWS’ place of worship to receive their holy baptism.

On, March 8 and 13, 2021, two more baptisms were conducted in the house of worship of Port Moresby Local Congregation.

In the homily during the baptismal service, it was emphasized to the baptismal candidates the great importance of receiving true baptism in one’s life—to receive the forgiveness of sins and the promise of salvation as true disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The holy occasions were officiated by Brother Regino Manangan Jr., resident minister of Port Moresby Local Congregation.

“With the help and mercy of the Lord God and with the tireless teaching and guidance of the Church Administration, we, here in Papua New Guinea, continue to carry out monthly the holy baptism, ” said Brother Decem Brian Companion, resident ministerial worker of Mount Hagen GWS.

Brother Decem further said that though the world’s situation is getting worse, the help and love of God is evident in the Church Of Christ: “With the series of baptisms held, more and more people in this place are embracing the faith of the true Church Of Christ.” — With reports from INC News Section
