On October 30, 2021, the Ecclesiastical District of Negros Oriental held “This is KADIWA” in connection with the Church-wide commemoration of the 48th founding anniversary celebration of the said organization. Through the activity, KADIWA members met old friends and forged new friendships, too.

For the said activity, the houses of worship in the local congregations of Dumaguete City, Siaton, Tanjay City, Riverside, Grand Village, and Mabinay Town Proper served as venues for the activity. KADIWA members attended the activity in the designated venue nearest them.

The KADIWA Christian Family Organizations (CFO) district leadership fielded a delegation of district officers to each venue to facilitate the activity. After more than a year of isolation due to the pandemic, the attendees enjoyed socializing again with their friends and old pals.

In the activity, October birthday celebrants as well as new members of the KADIWA organization were recognized. Afterwards, the attendees in each of the sites watched a video presentation of several greetings on the occasion of their organization’s anniversary. After the closing prayer, they went on to complete a series of activities lined up to for them.

“To facilitate new friendships, the attendees were encouraged to meet at least five new friends from other local congregations. They were tasked to take a selfie with the new friends they met. Afterwards, the KADIWA members handed out to their newfound friends a token that they prepared especially for the occasion,” Brother Bryan Balceda, the district CFO overseer, shared.

The Ecclesiastical District of Negros Oriental is consist of 56 local congregations and four extensions situated in the southern part of Negros and in Siquijor. ― With reports from INC News Section
