“July 27 of every year is one of the most significant dates for Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members around the globe. After all, it’s the anniversary of its establishment in these last days,” said Brother Daniel Llagas Sr., supervising minister of the Ecclesiastical District of Bulacan East in the Philippines. He officiated at the evangelical mission in their district on July 28, 2023 at the CSJDM Sports Complex, Bulacan.
Brother Llagas added, “One way by which we celebrate the 109th anniversary of the Church is by being one with the Church in sharing God’s pristine words to as many people as possible. We thank the Lord God for giving success to this event.”
He preached from the Bible the significance of being a member of the true Church for one to serve the true God and receive salvation. He also exhorted the attendees to give time to know more about the Church Of Christ.
The weather might be inclement during the event but the brethren were still able to bring myriads of guests, filling the 5,000-seater venue, to the brim. “When we heard the weather forecast to be severe, we prayed to God to help us. He heard our plea, I was able to bring my co-worker to the venue,” said Vincent Chua from the Local Congregation of San Jose Del Monte City.
Among the guests was George Tablan who resides in Area E, Bulacan. He said, “It was a worthwhile experience to be here, to listen to God’s words. I will make it a point in my schedule to know more about this Church.”
“On behalf of our district, we promise that as the years advance, we will also march forward in further intensifying the Church works. We will not falter in our zeal to proclaim the true faith,” Brother Llagas added. — With reports from Jhoana Elain Getuya of INC News Section
