On December 6, 2020, Church members from all over the Ecclesiastical District of Cavite in the Philippines held an online evangelical mission through live video streaming, as part of their intensified efforts in propagating the Good News of salvation.
Cavite Ecclesiastical District is one of the two districts of the Church in the province of Cavite, the office of which is located in the municipality of Noveleta. Currently, the Church has 57 local congregations and 8 extensions in the district.
Before the appointed time of 7:00 in the evening, the 218 remote sites, mostly those in the barangays (villages) and sitios (subdivision of a barangay), were already connected online to the host site. In-person attendees, as well as those in the remote sites, observed government-imposed health protocols.
Prior to the virtual evangelistic event, every head of the household from over 200 remote sites prepared the equipment they will need and made sure that they had a stable internet connection so that their friends and relatives, even those who are abroad, can clearly receive the biblical teachings upheld by the Church Of Christ through the live-streamed preaching of the district supervising minister, Brother Librado Santos.
After the event, many of the guests expressed their willingness to learn more about the Church. Others decided to pursue their membership in the Church and enlisted themselves as doctrinal instructees.
In an interview, Brother Santos said to the brethren, “Let us continue to show our concern to our fellowmen especially to our loved ones by guiding them in becoming a member of the Church. Through inviting them to listen to the words of God, they will come to the knowledge of the truth that will lead them to salvation.” ― With reports from INC News Section
