With the Lord’s help bringing success to their labors in propagating the faith, three ecclesiastical districts in Mindanao, Philippines each held a series of baptisms of new members.
These were held in the last week of July this year in commemoration of the 107th anniversary of the Church Of Christ.
In the Surigao del Norte Ecclesiastical District, situated in the northeastern Mindanao, the series of baptisms led by the district supervising minister, Brother Roleson Remegio Jr., were held in the houses of worship of three local congregations.
The first one, on July 22, took place at the Surigao City Congregation’s, the next at the Albor Congregation’s on July 27, and the last one at the Dapa Congregation’s on July 31.
During the study of God’s words prior to the baptismal proper, Brother Remegio proved from the Bible how greatly privileged Church Of Christ members are because they will inherit the promised eternal life in the Holy City.
As for the brethren from the Ecclesiastical District of Maguindanao, in central Mindanao, they reaped the fruits of their efforts in the intensified work of propagation during the two baptisms officiated by Brother Generico Gamboa, district supervising minister.
On July 27, the sacred gathering was held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Cotabato City. It was then followed on July 30 at the Baguer Congregation’s house of worship.
Prior to their immersion into the water, the baptismal candidates listened intently as Brother Gamboa taught an inspiring biblical lesson to about being steadfast in the faith despite the hardships they experience. This would help them, he explained, become victorious in their spiritual journey and, thus, attain salvation on Judgment Day.
Meanwhile, on July 30, the Ecclesiastical District of Cotabato North, situated in south-central Mindanao, held two baptisms simultaneously. One was in the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Canaan, officiated by Brother Cesar Gutierrez, district supervising minister. The other was in the Kidapawan Congregation’s house of worship, led by Brother Jesus Berte, assistant district supervising minister.
During the said occasions, all attendees strictly complied with the health and safety protocols even the three provinces, where the districts are located, are placed under General Community Quarantine (GCQ), the less stringent quarantine implemented in the country. — With reports from INC News Section
