Before 2022 ended, the Ecclesiastical District of Tokyo, Japan, conducted a baptism, reaping more fruits of the sustained efforts of the brethren in not just sharing the true faith but also in caring for those who decided to join the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ). The baptism was held on December 13, 2022 at the Local Congregation of Saitama, with Brother Amante Rodriguez, district supervising minister, officiating.

“I was eager to continue my Bible studies on doctrines because I wanted to learn the truth that will lead me to salvation on Judgment Day,” explained Kenneth Mata from the Local Congregation of Kawasaki. He was among the baptismal candidates who became full-fledged Iglesia Ni Cristo members on that sacred occasion.

In his preaching, Brother Rodriguez reminded the baptismal candidates about “the incomparable blessing of receiving the baptism in the true Church Of Christ and to remain firm in the faith until the end to be granted salvation on Judgment Day.”

After the homily, Brother Reineil Gonzales, assistant district supervising minister, administered the oath-taking of the baptismal candidates.

Together with the rest of the newly baptized members, Megumi Hatakeyama from Kawasaki Congregation promised to “never let go of God’s divine calling by not forsaking the worship services and continue to listen to and obey God’s teachings upheld in the Church Of Christ, one of which is sharing the true faith.”

“With the leadership of our district supervising minister, we always encourage the brethren to remain active in sharing our faith so that many will know about God’s will that all be gathered under the Lord Jesus Christ, that is by becoming members of the Church Of Christ, in order to receive God’s promised salvation,” enthused Brother Gonzales. — With reports from INC News Section
