The concerted efforts of Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members residing in Tokyo and neighboring cities in the intensified work of propagation resulted anew in the addition of another batch of converts to the true Christian faith.

On January 20, 2023, the Ecclesiastical District of Tokyo, Japan conducted a baptism during which more converts were added to the Church. It took place at the house of worship of Saitama Congregation.

Brother Amante Rodriguez, the district supervising minister, who officiated at the baptismal service and delivered the sermon, emphasized to the candidates of baptism that having the true faith, manifested by joining and remaining a devoted member of the Church Of Christ, is essential to receiving salvation on Judgment Day.

Among those who received the true baptism on that day was Kazuyoshi Kihata who said, “Compared to the other religions, Iglesia Ni Cristo is different from them for its doctrines are solely based from the Bible. And because of this, I decided to join in the Church.”

Another newly baptized member, Dalisay Koike, recalled that “the Church Of Christ was first introduced to me during my college years in the Philippines. However, it was when I came back in Japan and, after meeting some of the brethren here in Tokyo, my curiosity to the Church led me to continue on examining the doctrines upheld by the Iglesia Ni Cristo. With God’s grace and mercy, I am among those who received the true baptism. I promise that no matter what happen I will always follow God’s words and remain in the Church until the end to receive the promised eternal life.”

In an interview, Brother Rodriguez said, “The brethren here in Tokyo, Japan are active in heeding the call of the Church Administration to intensify the work of propagation. They allot time to reach out their loved ones, their relatives, friends and their fellowmen to listen to the words of God upheld by the Iglesia Ni Cristo for them to know the truth and be saved on the Day of Judgment.” — With reports from INC News Section
