In commemoration of the Local Congregation of Tunasan’s 35 years of establishment, the brethren there held a get-together activity on April 23, 2023 at the event center in Sto. Niño Village, Muntinlupa City, Philippines. This celebrant congregation is under the jurisdiction of the Ecclesiastical District of Metro Manila South.

“We thank God for this great manifestation of His love, that despite the heavy trials we’ve experienced, He continuously helps us remain strong in the faith,” said Erwin Bathan, head deacon.

Through this activity approved by the Church Administration, brethren were once more able to demonstrate their God-given talents and share a moment of bonding. A group of choir members performed Iglesia Ni Cristo Original Music songs, while some, together with the newly baptized brethren, participated in Filipino traditional games, such as Hampas Palayok (hit the pot). Jeanne Eunice Gonzales, a choir member, enthused, “This activity has truly motivated me to be a more active member of the Church.”

Sharing his devotion of serving God now more than ever, Manuel Antolin, 81-year-old choir member and among the congregation’s pioneers, said, “I will always fulfill my divine obligations as long as I have my life and strength.”

Brother Rodan Pisyao, resident minister, said on behalf of the congregation, “We will continue our zealousness in serving the Lord God no matter what.”
