Volleyball and basketball teams from the local congregations of Milan and Milan West met at Centro Sportivo, a sport facility located in Pero, Milan for an afternoon of friendly matches in their inter-local Unity Games on July 10, 2022.

“The brethren waited for this activity since the lockdowns due to the pandemic. So, they were joyful for the chance to see each other again and be together in this event,” said Brother Fernando Roman, resident minister of the Milan Congregation.

The brethren from both congregations collaborated to form four teams designated by color—green, white, red, and blue—for each of the three categories: basketball, volleyball (boys), and volleyball (girls).

For the volleyball (boys), the Red Team won. On the other hand, the White Team won in volleyball for girls. The Green Team won in basketball. The winning teams received trophies during the awarding program, which concluded the whole activity.

“We are grateful because of the opportunity to play with our sisters from Milan West,” Casey Cabigan, a volleyball player from Milan Local Congregation, expressed.

“The brethren understand that participating in activities launched for the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) is beneficial for them as it helps them be all the more active in serving God,” said Brother Randolf Villajuan, CFO overseer of Italy North Ecclesiastical District. “With this, they may also inspire their family members to dedicate themselves in participating to Church endeavors.” — With reports from INC News Section
