On June 12, 2022, the leadership of the Ecclesiastical Districts of Negros Oriental and Valladolid, Negros Occidental, both situated in Negros Island in the Philippines, sworn in new officers during simultaneous special gatherings conducted in various local congregations. The additional number of Church officers in the said districts is expected to be of a big help to the spiritual welfare of the brethren.

The special gatherings in the Negros Oriental District were held at the house of worship of the local congregations of Dumaguete City, Siaton, Bayawan City, Tanjay City, Manjuyod, Mabinay, and Siquijor. The brethren who accepted the Church duties took oath as officers in the edification such as deacons, deaconesses, area and group overseers, in the finance department, and in the Christian Family Organizations (CFO).

Meanwhile, Valladolid, Negros Occidental District conducted the occasions at the house of worship of the local congregations of Allanza, La Carlota City, La Castellana, Valladolid, Bago City, and Ma-ao.

The ministers of the gospel assigned to officiate in the said special gatherings preached a biblical lesson about the importance of being dedicated to fulfilling Church duties and uniting with the Administration in various Church works. They exhorted the Church officers to remain active in serving the Lord God despite the trials in life.

“Fulfilling Church duties gives us strength and, most of all, we feel the help and guidance of our Lord God,” said Renalyn Tuballa, a newly-sworn in Light of Salvation (LOS) secretary.

“I am overjoyed for being sworn in to my Church duty. I promise to unite in Church activities and do my best to fulfill my duty,” Joyce Anne Dimatulac, from Dumaguete City Local Congregation who took oath as a district KADIWA officer, expressed.

“Through these special gatherings, we receive the spiritual blessings that make us all the more active in performing our Church duties,” said Shenie Mae Elum, a choir member from Dumaguete City Local Congregation. — With reports from INC News Section
