Spreading far and wide in Africa, the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) recently established two new Group Worship Services (GWS) under the Ecclesiastical District of Southern Africa: Ngozi and Chileka, both in Malawi.
On January 30, 2020, the inaugural worship service of Chileka GWS was officiated by the assistant district supervising minister, Brother Randy Macalinao. Many brethren from the Local Congregation of Blantyre, the mother congregation, also attended.
“We may be afflicted by extreme poverty, but we will not be hindered in doing our duty of sharing the faith,” Charles Chintengo, a Church officer from Blantyre, said.
A day earlier, the inaugural worship service of the Ngozi GWS was officiated by Brother Zyrous Embang, minister of the gospel. The brethren who attended were joined by more than 200 doctrinal instructees and a hundred more guests.
Seeing the growth of the true Church in his country, one of the doctrinal instructees, Kenala Nakhuvere, a former pastor of Church of Christ Malawi, said he will help in the propagation of the pure gospel. “I do not regret leaving my post. I do not doubt anymore my decision of entering this Church. I will continue to invite my colleagues from my former religion,” he declared. — With reports from INC News Section
