Committing themselves to helping the Church Administration in looking after the brethren in their congregation, new officers from the Local Congregation of Veterans Village I, Ecclesiastical District of Central in the Philippines were sworn in their respective duties during a special gathering of Church officers on July 26, 2021.

The holy occasion was officiated by Brother Edgardo Macalino, resident minister. Before swearing in the new officers, he delivered a biblical lesson in which he expounded on the importance of duties in the Church. One of these, he emphasized, was to bring the Church members to Christian perfection and spiritual maturity aside from the truth that these are gifts from the Lord.

One of the newly sworn-in deacon, Bernard Opeña, said, “I am thankful and joyful for being trusted with this duty … because this is a blessing from our Lord God.”

“We thank the Lord God and the Church Administration for the continuous concern regarding our services to our Lord God,” Brother Macalino said, expressing the collective resolve of the congregation’s officers and members. “We will continue to unite in all of the activities being launched by the Administration.” — With reports from INC News Section
