Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Ecclesiastical District of Northeast California bonded with the newly baptized members and prospective members in the ‘Welcome, My Brethren’ on April 16, 2023 in five venues.
Attendees from the local congregations of Roseville, Elk Grove, and Sacramento gathered at the house of worship of the Sacramento Congregation. Those from Lathrop, Tracy, Livermore, Riverbank, and Stockton met up at latter’s house of worship. Participants from Fresno were joined by those from Lemoore and Orosi.
Meanwhile, American Canyon, Fairfield, and Vallejo together held the ‘Welcome, My Brethren’ at the Rodriguez High School in Fairfield, California; and Reno and Carson City at the Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center in Reno, Nevada.
Song and dance numbers were performed by select brethren, and interactive games also brought delight to the attendees.
“I felt very welcome,” said Denielle Pena, one of the prospective members from Sacramento. “The brethren treated me as if I were a part of an immediate family. Everyone was so friendly.”
A guest of the Stockton Congregation, Angelito Atento, remarked, “Since there are so many religions, I wanted to know which is the true one. I wish I can continue to know more about the Church Of Christ.” — With reports from Neslie Cavero of INC News Section
