Grateful to the Lord God, the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Local Congregation of Wellington (formerly Edmonton North), in the Ecclesiastical District of Edmonton, Canada, attended the first worship service in their newly renovated house of worship on November 26, 2023.
Through the guidance of the Church Administration, together with the unified efforts of the brethren, the 150-seater holy edifice underwent full renovation.
“We are very thankful to our Almighty God, and to our Lord Jesus Christ, because through the dynamic leadership our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, we were able to dedicate this house of worship,” expressed Brother Rolando Gaviola, district supervising minister, who led the momentous occasion.
He further said, “It [the house of worship] is indeed a great blessing to every one of us especially in these trying times that many people are struggling … We are so thankful that we have a place to go to pray and to ask our Lord God for His help. All the brethren here have made a vow to love and protect this chapel.”
The sacred gathering was also special for the pioneering brethren who have been residing in and around the Edmonton area since 1982, when the local congregation, the first in the Province of Alberta, Canada, was established. The Wellington Congregation continued to thrive and grow. Many of its members have been utilized as helpful instruments of the Lord God in the expansion of the Church Of Christ in this part of the country. — With reports from Brian Tacneng of INC News Section
