The Ecclesiastical District of Western Europe, responsible for Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) congregations in France, Switzerland, and Belgium, hosted a mental health seminar on January 14, 2022. Conducted via videoconferencing, the seminar raised in the brethren awareness of mental health concerns in the face of the continuing pandemic.

At the start of the activity, a slideshow presentation about mental health issues, and what one can do to guard himself against it, was shown.

Afterwards, Brother Daniel Pinnock, the district Light of Salvation (LOS) overseer, conveyed to the attendees a comforting message based from the Bible. He pointed out to them that as members of the true Church they can triumph over problems in life by entrusting everything to God, by means of prayer and obedience to all His commands. He recounted to them the experiences of other servants of God recorded in the Bible as proof that though life may be stressful, it can be dealt with successfully.

Luisa De Quattro, Children’s Worship Service officer, said that she was “touched by the topic. Indeed, this is an issue important to all of us, especially for the youth, who have often suffered, stressed between Covid-19, restrictions, and other problems.”

Inspired by God’s words, Luisa added, “We are not alone. There are, of course, things that we cannot manage to solve on our own, but God is there always willing to help us.”

The KADIWA and Binhi members from the Ecclesiastical District of Western Europe expressed gratitude for the activity that taught them to have a positive mindset anchored in the goodness and power of God. — With reports from INC News Section
