On June 12, 2022, additional Church officers from various local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Capiz, Philippines took their oath during a special gathering.

Foremost among those sworn in were deacons, deaconesses, area and group overseers, and Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers whose respective tasks involve caring for the brethren and edifying their faith. Other new officers took their oath as secretaries and technical support for videostreaming (TSV) officers.

The would-be-officers were gathered in nine sites all over the district, namely, the house of worship of the Local Congregations of Roxas City, Mambusao, Pres. Roxas, Pontevedra, Dao, Jamindan, Minoro, Caidquid, and Panay.

Brother Raul Alvarez, the district supervising minister, led the gathering from the house of worship of Roxas City, which served as the host site. His preaching, which focused on the importance of accepting a Church duty to be of help to the Church Administration in the work of edification, was livestreamed to the other sites.

Brother Cyrus Sab, district edification overseer, administered the oath-taking of the new Church officers after the homily.

“During this special gathering, many brethren took oath. They learned and also believed in God’s words that a Church duty is a blessing coming from Him. We are thankful to God that they heeded the Church Administration’s call to accept duties. They will be of great help in the intensive works in the Church,” Brother Alvarez said. — With reports from INC News Section
