As part of their commemoration of the Church’s 107th founding anniversary, KADIWA and Binhi members from the Local Congregation of Buhilit, Ecclesiastical District of Tarlac City, Tarlac staged a friendly tournament of board games.
Young brethren gathered at Buhilit Congregation house of worship’s compound on July 27, 2021 to compete in chess, checkers, Jenga, sungka, darts, and more. They followed and observed the health and safety protocols while participating in the activity. The province of Tarlac was under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) from July 16 to July 31, 2021.
According to Aron Dueñas, KADIWA sports committee chairperson the “activity [aimed] to strengthen the faith of the brethren and served as bonding moment of KADIWA and Binhi organizations in our local congregation.”
“I enjoyed the activity. I feel good playing chess with my fellow Binhi members. Even in this time of the pandemic, I wanted to spend my time participating in Church activities like this,” said Ara Tubay, a Binhi member.
“We are thankful to the Church Administration for such activity that brought joy and happiness to the brethren in our local. We promised that our local will always participate in all Church activities” said Brother Jasper Cabral, resident ministerial worker. ― With reports from INC News Section
