Families from the Ecclesiastical District of Zambales South in the Philippines get into sports as they participated in the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) Sports Activities on March 13, 2021.
The activities were conducted in the two venues—one within the Local Congregations of Olongapo and the other in San Marcelino—to follow the prescribed social distancing.
Brethren enjoyed playing chess, Game of the Generals, Scrabble, checkers, darts, speed stacks, speedcubing, Slam dunk contest, and Three-Point and Free Throw Shoot out.
“In preparing for this activity, we considered the health and safety protocols that are in place and, more importantly, we conducted devotional prayers to ask God for the success of this activity,” said Khrigrin Cabrera, a district KADIWA officer from West Tapinac Local Congregation.
Participants were joyful for the additional strength they received in uniting with the Church Administration through the activities.
“I have participated in various chess tournaments, but in this Church activity, I felt very much at ease because we are all friends here. I am happy for I became acquainted and made new friends with brethren from other local congregations,” Rey Jhon Paulo, one of the chess players from San Antonio Local Congregation, expressed. — With reports from INC News Section
