The Ecclesiastical District of Zamboanga City in the Philippines convened Church officers and inducted new ones on February 6, 2022.

The house of worship of the Local Congregation of Canelar served as the host site from where Brother Gavino Mabido, the district supervising minister, officiated.

In his Bible-based homily, Brother Mabido encouraged the Church officers to continue being steadfast in fulfilling their duties. He emphasized to them the importance of the duty they received from the Lord God that they should uphold in any situation. After the homily, the new officers took their oath of duty.

“I learned in this special gathering to always value my Church duty and with this I am fulfilling God’s command. I promise to our Lord God and to the Church Administration to be active in fulfilling my duty, I will treasure this and dedicate myself in fulfilling my Church obligation,” said Jillian Acebron, a newly sworn-in choir member from the Don Andres Extension.

“The new officers are an added strength to their respective local congregations. They are seen to lead the brethren in actively participating in the activities launched by the Church Administration and, most importantly, in caring for the brethren’s spiritual welfare,” Erlinda Espiritu, choir leader of the Local Congregation of Ipil, said.

Through videoconferencing, Church officers from other local congregations in the district attended the gathering from their congregations’ respective house of worship. — With reports from INC News Section
