As a result of the unceasing work of propagation in Western Mindanao, Philippines despite the pandemic, Zamboanga del Sur Ecclesiastical District conducted a baptism in the house of worship of Dumingag Local Congregation on December 15, 2020.

Prior to the baptism proper, Brother Nelcar Loberiano, district supervising minister, led the study of God’s words. Through the homily, the baptismal candidates were taught about the importance of complete obedience to the teachings of God in order to receive salvation.

Brother Rino Velayo, minister of the gospel, said, “Even if the world suffers from crisis brought about by the pandemic, the brethren are still unhindered in actively participating in the intensive propagation of our faith. The consecutive baptisms being conducted all over the world are manifestations of their commitment to unite with the Church Administration in spreading the truth.”

Since the province of Zamboanga del Sur is under Modified General Community Quarantine, the baptism was held strictly observing safety protocols such as physical distancing and wearing of face masks. – With reports from INC News Section
