The Ecclesiastical District of Makati in the Philippines held a special gathering and an oath-taking of new officers on March 25, 2024. Brother Diosdado Dades, supervising minister, officiated the holy occasion at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Pasay, where more than 600 new officers took oath.

During the preaching of God’s words, Brother Dades emphasized to all attendees the significance of having Church duties. Quoting from the Holy Scriptures, he taught that Church duties are gifts from God, and blessings await those who fulfill them wholeheartedly.

Among those who heeded the Church Administration’s call for Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members to accept Church duties was Kirsten Cole de Paz from Sacramento Congregation.  “I firmly believe that holding an office in the Church is a gift and a blessing from God. Also, having a duty helps me to become closer to God,” she said.

Rhenreen Deonila, also from the same congregation, expressed enthusiasm, stating, “I am very happy that God has entrusted me with a duty. It is truly a blessing for me and my family. I promise to fulfill it wholeheartedly to be of help to the Church Administration in caring for the spiritual welfare of my fellow brethren.” — With reports from Makati District Multimedia
