On April 20, 2025, the Ecclesiastical District of South Central States conducted “TSV Talk and Workshop,” an activity aimed to enhance the technical knowledge, among other skills of the Technical Support for Videostreaming (TSV) officers.
District TSV coordinator Brother Renz Carlo Diaz oversaw the event. Serving as resource speakers were Jacksonville, Arkansas Congregation deacon and TSV lead Allan Warrick who is also an associate director of a multi-national company, and Lubbock Congregation TSV officer Ted Farnham, who is also an IT specialist.
They discussed key technical concepts essential to the TSV officers’ roles. They encouraged the officers to use their control rooms effectively to prevent disorganization (commonly known as “cable spaghetti”).
Another major focus of the seminar was the essential equipment and setup for video streaming. Participants were also guided through troubleshooting common technical issues to become more efficient in providing technical support in Church activities, especially during worship services.
TSV officer Tyler Ignacio from Dallas, Texas Congregation said, “I’ve learned a lot from this workshop. It has provided me knowledge in the basics of video streaming and also teaches me how to operate and troubleshoot common streaming tools and software.”
Also a TSV officer, Vhey Villanueva from Biloxi, Mississippi Congregation expressed, “This activity has helped me become more effective in fulfilling our duties. As what was taught, maintaining a clean, safe, and accessible control room is indeed important to prevent technical failures.”
“Seminars like this helps us become more proficient in technical skills. With this, the Church Administration is truly proactive in guiding us, that we officers be able to fulfill our duties in a manner that is pleasing to the Lord God,” remarked TSV officer Junie Bonifacio from Memphis, Tennessee Congregation.
