The arts & crafts activity of the Local Congregation of Markham, Ecclesiastical District of Eastern Ontario, Canada, brought out the creativity of the young members. It was held at the function hall of their place of worship on April 19, 2025.

Participants were Binhi or Church members 12 to 17 years old and their younger brethren, the Children’s Worship Service (CWS) members. Together they tried and used various art materials to create personalized keychains, bracelets, and bookmarks, along with other handcrafted pieces.

With the activity being Café-themed, the youth were encouraged to have that do-it-yourself café experience. Thus, they mixed their own fruit smoothies, boba milk tea, and iced coffee blends. Right after, not only the youth but also their parents assisting them enjoyed a refreshing drink of their choice.

Binhi officers chose this activity for the youth because they can relate to an activity like this and will surely inspire them to also get involved in more Church activities,” Binhi congregation president Krystal Balila shared. “We can see that they are very eager to participate and express themselves through arts. Parents also shared such creativity with their children.”

“The activity turned out great for the youth,” resident ministerial worker Brother Anthony Mauricio observed. “We want them to be edified in their faith and be more active in their services to God.” — With reports from Patty Quintos of INC News Section
