A number of new converts to the true Christian faith from the Ecclesiastical District of Paniqui, Tarlac, Philippines received baptism on April 27, 2025, after meeting all Bible-prescribed requirements for admission into the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Christ Of Christ).
The assistant district supervising minister Brother Vicente Benedicto Jr. officiated at the service prior to the baptism proper, which was held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Camiling. In his teaching of God’s words, he reminded the would-be members of the invaluable blessings they were about to receive.
The candidates for baptism took their oath of membership which was administered by the district Light of Salvation overseer Brother Eugenio Sembrano Jr., after which they were immersed into the water one by one for their actual baptism.
One of them, Angelika Mananquil from the Local Congregation of Cabayaoasan, said in an interview later, “I’m thankful being now a bona fide member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo. I will value my membership in the Church until I reach [God’s] promised salvation.”
“I thank God for, finally, the one I used to invite to join the Church has been baptized,” said deaconess Sally Esteban, who was instrumental in Mananquil’s conversion into the Church. “I will continue guiding her, to help her be steadfast in the faith, and remain active in all of the Church’s activities.” — With reports from Fatima Asio of INC News Section
