Commemorating the 15th anniversary of the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) Office, ecclesiastical districts held various activities under the CFO Cares throughout the month of May 2025.

Philippine districts
In several districts, Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) members led the giving of free medical services on May 3, 2025.

Among the venues wherein the said activity was held that day were the compounds of the Local Congregations of Dinalupihan (Bataan Ecclesiastical District); Abucay (Bataan South); Pura (Paniqui, Tarlac); and Tagumpay 1 (Central). Santa Rosa City, Laguna District held the said activity at Biñan City Senior High School-West Campus in Barangay Langkiwa, Biñan City on the same date. Meanwhile, Pampanga North District held it on May 17, 2025 at the covered court of the Pampanga Branch of the New Era University.

Among the services offered were free blood typing, blood glucose screening, eye check-up, and dental services. Free medicines and vitamins were also given to beneficiaries.

Jaime Nepa from Dela Paz Congregation, Santa Rosa City, Laguna District, was “happy and thankful for being able to avail of free eye check-up” which he “found difficult to avail before because of its costliness.” Meanwhile, Herminia Mabini, deaconess from Sibul Congregation, Bataan District, expressed her gratitude to the Church Administration “for not only taking care of the spiritual wellbeing of the brethren but also of their physical health.”

On behalf of fellow officers, Paniqui, Tarlac District CMDPS president Victoria Tui shared that they were “joyful having been able to use our knowledge and skills to further help brethren who are truly in need of medical and dental services.”

In some districts, such as in Capas, Tarlac, the free services they offered included free haircuts and entertainment programs.

“I’m truly happy for I was able to participate in this activity. I’m thankful for the brethren’s love and care I truly felt,” conveyed Abegail Sinamban, deaf member from Bamban Congregation, through Sign Language.

Districts in other countries
Not only the CFO members in the Philippines showed their compassion towards their brethren but also their counterparts from overseas districts.

In Taiwan Ecclesiastical District, the activity which was held in the respective multipurpose halls of each local congregation on May 3, 2025 included free services such as haircuts, hair treatments, manicures and pedicures, and massages. Care packages were also given to children.

Debby Anne Pasamonte, choir member from Zhubei Congregation, said that the activity “was very helpful and heartwarming. It also showed the unity and love inside the Church.”

That in Northern Africa District was held a day after, on May 4, the program specifically held at the compounds of the Okwudor, Nigeria Extension and Port Harcourt. Beneficiaries were provided with care packages, formal dresses, and shoes.

Among the recipients was newly baptized member Abraham Ezekiel who expressed: “I’m very happy for the care packages I received. I promise to be even more active in attending worship services.”

Then, on May 5, 2025, local congregations in Queensland, Australia District gathered at Marsden State High School in Waterford West, Queensland wherein a program was held for the benefit of many brethren. As they availed of care packages, free medical and dental services, others were also given free complimentary services such as haircuts, while children enjoyed the games prepared for them.

Then, on May 18, 2025, CFO officers from Hawaii-Pacific District took the opportunity to extend their care through various services offered in booths prepared by local congregations.

Held at the compound of Ewa Beach Congregation, the district’s CFO Cares consisted of free medical checkups, career booths for brethren seeking possible career paths, and booths discussing certain topics such as proper health and fitness, photography, musical instrument skill enhancement, and vehicle repairs. Clothes and toy donation booths were also set to help newly married couples in their transition to parenthood.

“This event is very important because we have Binhi and KADIWA [members] who have to decide what they want to do in the future. So, this kind of gives them an idea of some of the brethren’s careers and help them steer in the direction that they would want to go,” shared Marigold Manalo, choir member from Kunia Congregation, who also facilitated in the career booths.

The noble aim
In a separate interview, Pampanga North District CFO overseer Brother Ynad Pascual explained that the program “aims to let the brethren feel how much they are loved by Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the Executive Minister, through humanitarian services.”

Taipei Congregation resident minister Brother Benedicto Aquino Jr. said that the program “strengthened the faith of the brethren, and reminded them of God’s teaching about the love of brotherhood.”

“A great number of our brethren benefited from this activity,” shared Santa Rosa City, Laguna District supervising minister Brother Ricardo E. Alipio. “The success of this activity inspires us to uphold our resolve to unitedly take part in the activities launched by the Church Administration which truly give glory to our Lord God.” — With reports from Christian Fherdz Garcia
