Bacoor Bay Congregation reaches out to fire victims

A Lingap sa Mamamayan (Care For Humanity) event was held on June 17, 2025 for the benefit of fire victims in Baywatch St., Barangay Talaba II, Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines. According to the Bureau of Fire Protection, the blaze reached second-level fire alarm, razing 30 houses, affecting 70 families.

Bacoor Bay Congregation resident ministerial worker Brother Bryan Tumanan led in the giving of 220 care packages to the fire victims.

“Thank you very much to the Church Of Christ. I’m pleased with your goodness,” expressed nonmember Edna Banayos.

“Thank you so much. I appreciate your kindness and help,” said another nonmember Laila Mae Alsong whose house were also burned. Likewise grateful was the village captain, Rodolfo Banas Jr. On behalf of his constituents, he said, “You’ve helped so many. We’re happy and felt honored to receive help from the Church Of Christ.”

“My family and I prayed together. I thank the Lord God for being merciful to us. He has not allowed us to be affected. Praises be unto Him,” said recipient Christine Joy Vito of Bacoor Bay Congregation.

On behalf of the congregation, Brother Tumanan said, “The Church Of Christ is ready to help, be they members or not. On our part, we will remain united with the Church Administration in helping those who are in need.” — With reports from Rose Ann Ramallosa of INC News Section
