New officers of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), 622 in all, in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur Ecclesiastical District took oath of office during a special gathering they attended at the Pagadian City house of worship on June 22, 2025. With them in attendance were the officers who have been holding their respective duties for many years now.
Church officers overseer Brother Romer D. Galang presided over the said gathering. In his Bible-based lesson, he reminded the officers on the importance of their God-given duties. He then exhorted them to remain loyal in fulfilling their responsibilities despite the trials and hardship they may go through.
Brother Galang also emphasized that the Lord God seeks certain qualities to those whom He appointed to hold various Church offices. They must be trustworthy, diligent, and must possess an unwavering faith that will help them overcome hindrances as they perform their divine duties.
Among them was Orlando Marimon who took oath as Society of Communicators and Networkers International (SCAN) chairperson of Kapisan Congregation. In an interview after the gathering, he shared, “I did not have a second thought when I learned that I will be receiving this duty. I understood that it is a blessing from God.”
Meanwhile, when Febe Pingkian from Molave Congregation was taking her oath as local Buklod secretary, she felt “immense joy for I believe that this is a manifestation of God’s mercy upon me.”
Lucicris Pasanting, newly sworn local officers registry custodian (LORC) from Pagadian City Congregation, “was honored to be among those who took oath in this sacred occasion.” In line with this, she promised that “despite my weaknesses, I shall strive to carry on and remain dedicated to fulfilling this duty which the Lord God blessed me with.”
District Church officers overseer Brother Ronald Poyaoan expressed that “through the sacred occasion held, the Church officers were once more inspired to continue in the performance of their duties, and in taking part in the various endeavors of the Church which truly please the Lord God.” — With reports from Shaina Freya Nasol of INC News Section
