Brethren from the Local Congregation of Pilot in the Ecclesiastical District of Quezon City, received a spiritual blessing as Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo officiated at the congregation’s Thanksgiving worship service on July 21, 2024 in commemoration of the 110th anniversary of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ).
After the processional hymn, Brother Joji Crisostomo, minister assigned at the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) Office, led the congregation in a prayer of thanksgiving for God’s countless blessings to the entire Church.
In his Bible-based homily, Brother Angelo Manalo reiterated the relevance of the current theme of the Church’s activities, “People of God Should Continue to Please Him,” to the condition of the world nowadays. He expounded that God expects only the people in His nation to do things that please Him, since people in the world fail to do so because they do not possess the true wisdom that comes from Him—one of which is manifested by obedience to His commands. He emphasized what the Bible teaches that instead of indulging themselves in doing things against God’s will, true Christians should strive to help more people come to the knowledge of the truth by taking part in the intensive work of propagating the true faith and to remain active in worshiping God, for these, with all other works of the Church, truly please Him.
Brother Angelo Manalo then concluded the lesson by inspiring the brethren in attendance with God’s promises that will be fulfilled in His people who please Him and value their divine election. Afterwards, Brother Rex Rosquites, minister of the gospel, led the congregation in a prayer reaffirming their faith and conviction.
The Local Congregation of Pasong Tamo, Ecclesiastical District of Central, marked its milestone 20th anniversary with a worship service on July 14, 2024 led by Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo, who was sent by the Executive Minister to lead the brethren in giving glory to the Almighty God.
In his homily, Brother Angelo uplifted the brethren’s faith as he emphasized the importance of perseverance in serving the Almighty Father in heaven. He encouraged the brethren to remain resolute in their divine election despite any challenges they may face.
Brother Cyrus Dizon, the assistant district supervising minister, led the opening prayer before Brother Angelo Manalo’s lecture, while Brother Senen C. Capuno, district supervising minister, led the closing prayer.
As the congregation reflects on the past 20 years, its members look forward with renewed vigor and determination with the promise to hold on to the teachings and guidance provided by the Church Administration.
