Thousands of young members received a great spiritual blessing as they attended the special worship service officiated by Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo on October 11, 2024. Held at the Central Temple, which served as the host site, the holy occasion was livestreamed to various ecclesiastical districts in the Philippines and abroad.
The special worship service was conducted to commemorate three milestone anniversaries: the 55th anniversary of the Christian Brotherhood International (CBI), the organization for Iglesia Ni Cristo members who are studying; the upcoming 50th anniversary of New Era University (NEU); and the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the District Multimedia.
NEU faculty members, staff, and students, primarily Church officers, eagerly and patiently queued outside the Temple several hours before the scheduled worship service. As most of the brethren have already entered the main sanctuary, the officers’ prayer was led by Brother Ralph Francis Esguerra.
Before the homily, Brother Carl Te led a heartfelt prayer of thanksgiving to God. Brother Angelo Manalo then preached about the importance of gaining knowledge in this world. He cited examples from the Bible of well-educated servants of God. But above all these, he emphasized that the students’ topmost priority should be serving God, and that the most intelligent act a person can do is to do what God wants.
After the preaching of God’s words, Brother LJ Ricardo led the attendees in praying for further success and a good future for the students. The prayer for the offerings was led by Brother Joji Crisostomo. Brother Angelo Manalo said the benediction.
Amid the hustle and bustle all over the Cartimar market place and shopping center in Pasay City, Philippines, the worship services of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in the Local Congregation of Proprietarios remain solemn and heartfelt.
On Sunday, October 6, 2024, the members of the Church in the local congregation of the street’s namesake solemnly congregated in their house of worship. Not that they were not busy attending to their everyday concerns many of them even had work schedules that day but rather, they chose to attend the worship service to receive God’s blessings and guidance. The brethren were hopeful that they would receive spiritual blessings they need to be able to carry on in this life. The worship service was officiated by Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo.
“We must protect our Church membership,” Brother Angelo Manalo said after which he quoted biblical verses detailing how cunning the devil is in his schemes constantly aimed at God’s servants. To resist the enemy and thus work for their salvation, the Church members must remember that God gives them strength through the Lord Jesus Christ (Eph. 6:10– 11, 13). And not only that—they have many spiritual resources: the worship services, ministers and ministerial workers to seek pieces of advice from, the various activities in the Church, and the house of worship where they can pray to God, among others which were elaborated by Brother Angelo Manalo.
Church Of Christ members ought to make sure that they are spiritually fit by being solid in the faith as they apply in their lives what they gain all these spiritual resources. They are reminded to remain prayerful and obedient to all of God’s commandments. Although they are afflicted with hardships, they must have faith that “God is completely kind” (I Pet. 5:10, 7) and that He will not leave them alone amid their everyday struggles; He will make everything right for them.
Just barely two days after the pastoral visit of the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, members of the Local Congregation of Pandacan in the Ecclesiastical District of Manila once again received a great blessing. The Church Administration’s principal helper, Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo, officiated at their worship service on September 29, 2024.
Hours before the scheduled worship service, a long queue of excited brethren were already at the gates of the house of worship. After all the brethren have all orderly entered the chapel, the officers’ prayer was led by Brother George Faraon.
The opening prayer was led by the district’s supervising minister, Brother Wilson R. Cayago. Afterwards, Brother Angelo Manalo, in his homily, reminded the brethren to remain steadfast in obeying God’s teachings that they received through the Executive Minister just days before.
Brother Angelo Manalo emphasized the importance of remaining firm and loyal in obeying the teachings of the Lord that were taught by the Messenger in these last days, Brother Felix Manalo, which are continuously being taught to the Church by the present Church Administration. And that, they must always do and speak what is right, which are the words of God.
After the preaching of God’s words, the entire congregation heartfully sang the hymn, “I am a Member of the Church Of Christ.” Brother Daniel Solano Jr. then led the congregation in a heartfelt prayer of thanksgiving to God. The offertory prayer was led by Brother Paul Bryan Reyes. The benediction was said by Brother Angelo Manalo.
The Local Congregation of Pandacan is celebrating its centennial year, having reached its 100th year of establishment in July 2024.
