On July 5, 2025, Brother Orlando Macayan, district supervising minister of Queensland, Australia District led the inaugural worship service of the newly formed  Rockhampton Group Worship Service (GWS). Brethren and officers were formerly part of the Local Congregation of Gladstone.

The momentous gathering was held at the main auditorium of the Gracemere Community Centre, Rockhampton City, Queensland Australia. The GWS’s succeeding worship services will be held at 2/105 East St, Rockhampton City.

During the homily, Brother Macayan emphasized from the Bible that the Lord God will uphold His promises to the Church Of Christ in these last days. He reminded everyone in attendance that God’s promised help will manifest not only to the Church in its entirety but also in the lives of its individual members. But there is something He expects them to do first prior to His blessing them—live in holiness and remain active Church members—especially salvation on Judgment Day.

After the preaching of God’s words, pioneering set of Church officers took their oath of office.

One of the attendees, deacon Dennis Lauzon, said in an interview after the gathering, “I truly believe that this is the work of the Almighty God. He wills it that in this city, His Church will also flourish in all its works. I firmly hope that He will use us here to bring more people to the true religion. I also promise to help in edifying my fellow brethren.”

On behalf of the brethren, Brother Macayan said, “We thank the Lord God for utilizing the Church Administration in the expansion of His Church in our district. With renewed zeal, the brethren here in Rockhampton City pledge their unconditional obedience to God’s will.” — With assistance from Mark Reniel Kiseo
