PCMC honors Iglesia Ni Cristo for life-saving blood donations

QUEZON CITY, Philippines—August 6, 2025—The Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) formally recognized the lglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) for its outstanding contribution to voluntary blood donations during the 24th Pagkilala at Pasasalamat (Recognition and Thanksgiving) ceremony. Held annually, the event honors individuals and organizations whose consistent support helps sustain the hospital’s critical blood supply.

This year, the Iglesia Ni Cristo received PCMC’s highest distinction, acknowledging its donation of approximately 20,000 blood bags over the past year. The award highlights the Church’s unwavering commitment to humanitarian service and its role as a vital partner in the hospital’s life-saving efforts.

“We have once again received a prestigious recognition—this time from the Philippine Children’s Medical Center,” said Brother Dan Omar Leybag, INC Minister, who accepted the award on behalf of the Church. “We’re pleased to share that this is the highest distinction PCMC has bestowed. We will continue to help our fellowmen—this is the enduring commitment of the Iglesia Ni Cristo regarding the voluntary blood transfusion program.”

The Church’s nationwide blood donation drives are regularly conducted across its congregations, aiming to meet the urgent needs of hospitals and provide life-saving support to patients throughout the country.
