Every local congregation of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in the Ecclesiastical District of Metro Manila East, in the Philippines, united for clean-up drives that were held on August 2, 2025.

Ministers and ministerial workers in the congregations led the brethren in cleaning public spaces as part of the district’s INC Giving Project. Together with fellow ministers constituting the district leadership, district supervising minister Brother Gerino Lalata oversaw that which was conducted by the Local Congregation of Bagong Ilog.

“These clean-up drives not only show our unity but also our sense of responsibility,” said district Christian Family Organizations overseer Brother Mark Malicat. “As we care for the environment, we hope to inspire future generations to unite in such a good work.”

“This clean-up drive is a meaningful project for both nature and the community,” observed secretariat officer Marilyn Grande from the Bagong Ilog Congregation. “I felt deep joy in joining, as every member’s effort showed care for the environment and strengthened our unity.”

“It feels incredibly fulfilling to unite with the Church Administration in this clean-up project,” expressed deacon Gabriel Guillemer from the Pembo Local Congregation. “It not only helps the community and its people—it also sets an example for others to follow in keeping our surroundings clean.”

“Following the Church Administration’s call, we came prepared for the activity, and our brethren responded actively,” attested resident minister Brother Emmanuel Laput of Pembo Congregation. “We understand that helping others, which can be through caring for the environment, is a teaching from our Lord God that we should wholeheartedly fulfill.” — With reports from Sir Aris Galias of INC News Section
