The Ecclesiastical District of Marikina, in the Philippines, conducted evangelical missions at three different venues on August 31, 2025 as part of the commemoration of its first anniversary. A total of 710 guests attended.
The said venues were the houses of worship of the Local Congregations of Rodriguez, Parang, and Bayan-bayanan. There, district supervising minister Brother Cyrus Jose Dizon, assistant district supervising minister Brother Ariel Ernie, and district Light of Salvation overseer Brother Christian Pajarillo, officiated, respectively.
Biblical topics
In each venue, the officiating ministers highlighted key biblical points that encourage people to seek the true religion before time runs out.
Brother Dizon explained through the Bible that the worsening events in the world are signs that the end of the world or Judgment Day is very near. In order to be saved on that day, he emphasized, people must be found active members of the true Church—the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ).
On his part, Brother Ernie pointed out from the Bible that though one must work hard in this life to provide for his and his family’s needs, working for the salvation of his soul is far more important. He explained that this must be in accordance with God’s will, which includes joining the true Church Of Christ.
Meanwhile, Brother Pajarillo detailed the great difference between the one and only true God as introduced in the Bible, Whom Church Of Christ members firmly believe, and the so-called gods that various religions recognize.
Preparations
“As a member of the Church Of Christ, sharing the true faith with others is my divine obligation. That is why I volunteered my van to be used in fetching our guests. I firmly believe that doing so was being of help to this kind of activity,” said head deacon Noel Raspado of the Calumpang Congregation, who brought guests at Parang house of worship.
“Upon learning of this activity, I immediately invited my nonmember acquaintances,” shared deaconess Jemelle Leonardo from the Bayan-bayanan Congregation.
“I encourage nonmembers to join the Church for I eagerly desire for them to experience, too, the blessings that come with being members of the true Church,” added another deaconess, Jennifer Cruz from Rodriguez Congregation.
Guests’ remarks
Leonardo’s guest, a Baptist Church pastor by the name of Jino Mendoza, expressed, “I’ve decided to join the Church Of Christ.” Asked why, he explained, “I once attended this Church’s congregational worship service. I really felt in my heart how God was with that sacred gathering. It’s been two years since that day, and since I became a pastor, that I’ve just decided to accept the invitation of Leonardo in attending today’s evangelical mission.”
“I noticed how the Iglesia Ni Cristo members are very organized when it comes to this kind of gathering. Male and female were seated separately inside the house of worship,” Cruz’s guest Miguel Hayno shared. — With reports from Marikina District Multimedia
