The Ecclesiastical District of New Zealand North inaugurated a new group worship service (GWS)—Tokoroa GWS—on September 7, 2025. District supervising minister Brother Dennis Dahunan led the inaugural worship service that was held at The Plaza Performing Arts Centre, located at 50 Kensington Street, Putāruru, South Waikato 3443, North Island of New Zealand. Together with him in the momentous occasion were Brother Jonas Medrano, assistant district supervising minister, along with other ministers of the gospel who comprise the district leadership.

After the homily, the GWS’s pioneering set of officers took their oath of duty, as led by district Church officers overseer Brother Jose Fuentes Jr.

“I’m incredibly happy, beyond words, because the Church Administration has approved our request to establish a GWS here,” said Mark Jayson Manalo, a Technical Support for Video Streaming (TSV) officer and secretary, adding, “This momentous occasion has truly inspired me to become even more dedicated in fulfilling my duties.”

“I thank the Lord God for making this progress possible. We no longer have to travel 70 kilometers away to attend worship services and other sacred gatherings, because our place of worship is now nearby,” enthused Rachel Sanoria, GWS finance officer.

“On behalf of all the brethren in our congregation, I thank the Lord God for answering our prayers. This newly established GWS has truly uplifted and brought immense joy to all of us. We promise to fulfill our duties with devotion and remain united with the Church Administration—all for God’s glory,” stated Brother Othoniel Jay Duremdes, resident minister of Rotorua Congregation, under whose jurisdiction the Tokoroa GWS falls. — With reports from Mariz Manansala and Elaine Marie Ignacio
