Besides uniting with the Church and its Administration in worthwhile activities, members of the Fairview Congregation, Quezon City Ecclesiastical District firmly believe they could help save lives by participating in blood donation drive their congregation hosted on September 27, 2025.

“The Church Administration implemented this kind of activity for through this, we are able to extend our care not only to our brethren but also to our fellowmen who are in need of blood for medical purposes,” explained Brother Rodrigo Garganta, a minister of the gospel.

Held at the UNFHAI Convention Hall in Barangay North Fairview, Quezon City, the said socio-civic activity was undertaken under the auspices of the Iglesia Ni Cristo Social Services Office (SSO) in collaboration with the Philippine Heart Center.

Forty-one bags of blood were collected from volunteer donors, including Bjorn Bautista, who donated for the first time, and his wife.

“I felt nervous at first, but after the procedure, I had a sigh of relief and felt joy in my heart for I know that through this simple act, I can help save other people’s lives,” the deacon from the Fairview Congregation said of his experience and motivation.

Another first-time donor, choir member Allen Zuriel Cruz shared, “I also felt nervous at first, but knowing that through this, I can be of help to more people, I was motivated to proceed.”

“Before one can undergo blood transfusion, he must first secure enough supply of blood, and for that to happen, there has to be anyone who is healthy and kindhearted enough who is willing to donate blood,” expressed Bautista’s wife, deaconess Mae Bautista. “For me, being able to help others through this is definitely a heroic act in our time.”— With reports from Anne Kimberly Baldos
