“I’m grateful. Praises be to the Lord God for this beautiful and magnificent house of worship,” enthused Roberto Ramos Sr., head deacon of the Local Congregation of Acacia, Ecclesiastical District of Palawan.
“It’s majestic and pretty amazing,” said Troy Campbell of the same congregation.
Their sentiments summed up the collective joy and zeal that they and fellow brethren felt as their new house of worship was dedicated to God through a worship service on September 27, 2025.
Sent by the Church Administration, Brother Gerardo T. Purificacion officiated the holy occasion. He emphasized in his biblical preaching the profound significance of houses of worship to the lives of His true servants, being where He expects them to worship and pray to Him.
Right after the worship service, Brother Purificacion, with the district staff present, led by district supervising minister Brother Esmeraldo S. Sibuma, handed out certificates of recognition to the congregation’s pioneering brethren.
Located along Solid Road, Barangay San Manuel, in Puerto Princesa City, the newly constructed 854-seater house of worship is outfitted with modern facilities, such as state-of-the-art sound system, a LED wall, CCTV camera system, and Johannus organ. A pastoral house, caretaker house, and guard house were also built.
“Back then, we used to attend at a smaller house of worship,” reminisced head deacon Abraham Lizano. “But now, I’ve just witnessed the dedication of our large and beautiful house of worship. I will help in maintaining its cleanliness at all times. I will also encourage the brethren entrusted to my care to do the same.”
“Here in our new house of worship, it is very spacious, very comfortable, and most of all, it is so wonderful to be able to worship our Lord God,” said choir member Sheekan Mae Enila. “Just as we preserved our previous chapel for a long time, from this day forward, we will also take care of this new house of worship.” — With assistance from Aubrey Shane Nepomuceno
