Special gatherings of Church officers were respectively held at the houses of worship of the local congregations of Baguio City, Gibraltar, and La Trinidad on October 5, 2025, during which more than 300 brethren took oath as new officers in the Ecclesiastical District of Benguet, in the Philippines.

District supervising minister Brother Ardy Mendoza, assistant district supervising minister Brother Ian Manalata, and district Church officers overseer Brother Ramil Toledo officiated at these gatherings, respectively.

They each taught a biblical lesson emphasizing that being an officer in the Church is a calling from the Lord God and, thus, a great trust and grace. They reassured the attendees that by meeting God’s expectation in fulfilling their duties with utmost devotion to Him, they can hope for His abundant blessings in this life and most of all the life to come.

“Church membership continues to grow as a result of the intensified work of propagation, which is why more officers are needed to cater to the members’ welfare,” said Brother Mendoza in an interview after the gathering. “Meanwhile, Church officers who devote themselves in their duty are truly pleasing to the Lord God. They can hope that He will be keen to their prayers in their time of need. Above all, they secure their salvation by remaining loyal to Him.”

It was also emphasized during the gathering that the efforts Church officers put to fulfill their oath are never in vain as God does not forget their work and love for His people.
“My heart is filled with joyful gratitude to the Lord God. I’ve waited for this moment I’m sworn into office,” enthused choir member Andrea Pineda from the Local Congregation of Baguio City. “I truly believe that when I devote myself in my duty, I will be closer to God. He will not be remiss in answering my prayers, as taught in the preaching. On my part, I promise to strive in fulfilling my oath to Him.” — With assistance from Heidi Mateo
