“It’s elating, truly welcoming. I got to know other prospective members like me,” said candidate for baptism John Peñarroyo.

“It’s a great feeling being here. I met new friends,” added newly baptized April Mendoza.

Among the newly baptized and prospective members in the Local Congregation of Balanga, Ecclesiastical District of Bataan South, Philippines, they attended their congregation’s “Welcome, Kapatid Ko” on October 3, 2025, at Brgy. Malabia covered court.

All the eight areas of the congregation were all out in living up to the activity’s name, that is, welcoming new and would-be members of the Church.

In the activity, district supervising minister Brother Melvin Cayabyab delivered the opening remarks. Afterwards, brethren of every area sang their rendition of INC original songs. That and the games—cheerdance, “Bring Me,” and calamansi relay—right after brought smiles to the attendees.

“Everyone’s so happy,” observed resident ministerial worker Brother Jhon Peterson Pineda. On behalf of all in attendance, he added, “We thank the Church Administration for supporting activities like this that allow prospective and newly baptized members feel how truly welcome they are in the Church Of Christ, especially as we altogether conduct worship and services to God.”
