After being held in-person in various ecclesiastical districts in the Philippines which started on August 9, 2025, and online for districts abroad more than a week after, on August 18, this year’s INC Chroniclers International Assembly led by the Iglesia Ni Cristo Research and Information Section (RIS) concluded at the Metro Manila South Ecclesiastical District two months later, on October 11, 2025.
Delegates from the said district convened at the Valera Resort and Events Place in Muntinlupa City.
The program commenced with a prayer led by district chronicler Brother Aris Martinez, followed by the keynote address delivered by Brother Rod Caberto, a minister assigned at the said section. Then, INC Research and Information section chief Brother Eraño G. Quinitio motivated the local chroniclers to do their best in helping preserve the history of the Church.
“I’m thankful for this opportunity wherein I gained new insights in documenting significant events in the Church,” said Talon Congregation chronicler Gelline Cay. “Being part of this activity is indeed a blessing which helps chroniclers to be more active and able helpers of the Church Administration in preserving historical records,” BF Resort Village Congregation chronicler Ma. Jessica Isidro shared.
Ministers and ministerial workers assigned at the said section led in discussing topics such as Chronicling Church activities, proper organizing of every congregation’s history book, and oral history. Brother Quinitio concluded the event with a Bible-based lecture highlighting the importance of proper documentation of the Church’s works and preserving all of these for the sake of the future generations of Church members.
“The seminar not only provided theoretical knowledge but also practical steps on how to conduct polite and meaningful interviews. This will greatly help us to complete our local history effectively and systematically,” said Alabang Congregation chronicler Baby Janine Alcantara.
Prior to the said seminar-workshop, similar events were also held in the provinces of Rizal and Pangasinan.
Rizal, Rizal East
On September 27, 2025, 68 local chroniclers from the Ecclesiastical Districts of Rizal and Rizal East convened at the APBI Building at 5 M.L. Quezon St., Angono, Rizal.
In the said program, Rizal District chronicler Brother Lloyd Dural led the opening prayer. Then, Rizal District supervising minister Brother Alfonso O. Rico delivered the opening remarks. Part of his message stated: “It is vital to make sure that significant events in the Church are properly documented and preserved, especially the triumphs that the Church gained despite the hindrances it faced for these serve as a testament that this Church is indeed being held and guided by God’s mighty hand.”
After the discussions led by Brother Cesar Azarcon, minister of the gospel assigned at the INC RIS, Brother Raymond Reyes, minister of the gospel also assigned at the same section, delivered a Bible-based lecture and led the delegates in a prayer.
“I eagerly awaited for this activity for I know that I would be able to use the knowledge that I gain here in fulfilling my duty,” said chronicler Norlen Canosa from Barcelona Congregation, Rizal District. In another interview, chronicler Riscen Escarda from Pipindan Congregation, Rizal East District, shared, “This seminar-workshop helped me to have a deeper understanding on the spiritual importance of the duty entrusted to me, which, when I fulfill with diligence, will truly give glory to God.”
