A total of 537 members from different local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Iloilo South took their oath of duty during a special gathering on October 12, 2025.

Together with newly inducted officers received further strengthening of their faith were a total of over 3,000 fellow officers gathered at four houses of worship. That of the local congregation of Iloilo City served as the event’s main site, to which that of Alibhon, Barotac Nuevo, and Janiuay, used as remote sites, were connected through videoconferencing.

District supervising minister Brother Mario Mabuti officiated at the special gathering. In his Bible-based homily, he encouraged the attendees to treasure the duty entrusted to them by God.

God seeks wholehearted devotion from those He has chosen to serve Him,” Brother Mabuti underscored. “They must endure trials and persevere in fulfilling this divine calling to remain worthy before Him.”

District Light of Salvation overseer Brother Elmore Managuit administered the oath-taking of the new Church officers after the sermon.

“This duty I received is truly a great gift, for God is the One Who entrusted me. As I’ve said in my oath, I will faithfully fulfill it,” said newly sworn-in multimedia officer Brian Igtanloc from Leganes Congregation.

His wife, Ariane, likewise took oath, as a choir member. “With this great blessing, I’m inspired to fulfill my responsibilities, being also my way of proving my solid faith in God amid trials. I will stand firm, holding onto God’s promises.” — With assistance from Gedeon Magbanua
