More than 5,000 Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members and nonmembers alike benefited during the medical mission that the Ecclesiastical District of Marikina held in collaboration with the New Era General Hospital (NEGH) at Marikina Convention Center on October 14, 2025. This was one among other ways the district commemorates the nearing birthday of the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, on October 31.

During the said occasion, free health services and medicines were offered, such as consultation, emergency treatment, pediatrics, laboratory tests (CBC, CBG, urinalysis, blood typing), x-ray, electrocardiogram, and ultrasound.

Society of Communicators and Networkers International (SCAN) officers led in maintaining the orderliness and securing safety throughout the socio-civic activity. Considering the long line of patients waiting their turn to be treated, talented brethren filled the air with their rendition of INC original songs like Salamat Po, Ka Eduardo (Thank You, Brother Eduardo) and Halika Na, Kaibigan (Come Join Us, Friend). To inform nonmembers, audio-visual presentations about the Church’s propagational activities and socio-civic efforts were also shown.

“This is really of great help especially to us experiencing poverty,” expressed San Mateo Congregation guest Maria Socorro Salazar.

On their way out of the venue, beneficiaries received care packages containing rice and canned goods, which the SCAN officers handed to them. “No one left having nothing,” observed deacon Tyrone Truelen of Sampaguita Village Congregation.

All the ministers composing the district leadership led by Marikina District supervising minister Brother Cyrus Jose Dizon were hands-on in overseeing the event.

“This activity manifests the Church’s effort in obeying God’s command of loving our fellow countrymen and helping those in need,” assistant supervising minister Brother Ariel Ernie shared. On behalf of the district, Brother Ernie expressed, “We thank God for Brother Eduardo Manalo’s leadership and adding another year to his life. With him on our lead, we’ll keep on serving God no matter what happens to attain salvation.” — With assistance from Marikina District Multimedia
